Important Notice: After update the firmware, you need to do the reset to the radio first, power off the radio
first. Then power it on while holding the PTT and the PF1 button below the PTT at the same time. The radio
will start up with a note on the display stating MCU Reset, Please Wait – and do not turn the radio off while it
restarts. See the Separate FW Update Instructions for Details
.
 Install the Customer Program Software (CPS) by running the D890UV_CPS_Setup_x.xx.exe setup
program in the CPS Program Folder
 After installing a new D890UV CPS version go to the top Menu -> Tool-> Options in the CPS to set
GPS, BT, 500 Hour Record and APRS options as needed
Please make sure the codeplug is saved to PC before your do the update and reset.

1. Add the Freq Step in the key function, allows to fast access to the Frequency step.
2. Add the APRS/NR version information in the device setting.
3. Correct the issue that APRS prompt sound doesn’t work.
4. Allows to mute the receiving channel when the other channel is transmitting. Radio menu
   ->Setting->Voice Func 18.SubSpk in TX allows to turn on or turn off the receive audio.
5. Correct the issue that VHF receiving not working properly when AM RX is ON.
6. Correct the issue that send APRS beacons from APRSDroid, the APRS beacon has extra wrong
   number.
7. Make the Auto backlight working when radio is in the scan mode.
8. Correct the issue that Last Call display doesn’t show the callsign.
9. Correct the date/time issue in UTC+0 and in professional mode.
10. Add the proper reply delay for SMS confirmation in NXDN mode.
11. Allows to set up the Freq Step for AM channel independently from the regular channels.
12. CPS->Optional Setting->Auto Repeater-> Repeater Whitelist, set OFF to allow all Talk Groups and
    Digital Contacts pass the Cross band repeater.
