Over the past few months, I’ve been working ver hard on a new version of Peanut for iOS and macOS. Initially, I had no plans to develop software for Apple platforms again due to the high costs and the challenges of managing updates. However, I’ve decided to give it another shot and see how it goes this time around.
Both the iOS and macOS versions were completely rewritten from scratch using Swift, Apple’s programming language, because the Android version was originally developed in Java. Lot of work!
MacOS version

- Compatible with macOS 15.3 or later.
- Works on all Apple Silicon (M-series) models. Compatibility with Intel Macs is uncertain.
- Currently in beta and still under development.
- The software will function until November 6, 2025, when my Apple contract expires. After that, I will decide whether to renew it for another year.

- Does not run in the background.
