FTM-500 FW UPDATE

FTM-500DR/DE Firmware Update Information
Refer to the Firmware Update Instruction Manual in each ZIP file.
FTM-500D Firmware update 202308.zip Contains:

• MAIN Firmware V.01.06 (NEW) FTM-500D_MAIN_USA_V0106.SFL
• SUB Firmware V.01.02 FTM-500D_SUB_V0102.SFL
• DSP Firmware V.07.20 C4FM-DSP_V0720.SFL
  FTM-500D_Firmware_Ver_Up_Manual_ENG_2307-A.pdf
  Currently we have two different destination versions of the FTM-500DR/DE: USA and EXP
  (including EU and CHN). Please open the Update Instruction Manual and review the information
  before starting the update firmware.
  *The firmware version for Japan is different from USA or EXP version. Please check the latest
  firmware of the Japanese version on the Japan WEB site:
  http://www.yaesu.com/jp/amateur_index/product/ftm-500d/download.html
  You must check the destination version of the radio you have and use the correct update firmware.
  The destination is marked on the box serial number label. If the box is not available, the country you
  purchased the radio in may indicate the destination. If the FCC part 15 rules statement is on the radio
  above the Serial/ID label, it is the USA version. Other versions will not have the FCC label.

  The updated zip file contains DSP firmware for all countries.
  CAUTION:
  Please be sure to confirm the model and the version of your transceiver before starting the update.
  Writing incorrect firmware to the transceiver may cause abnormal operation or failure.
  Please read the FTM-500DR/DE Main and DSP Firmware Update Instruction Manuals before
  proceeding!

1. Fixed bugs in the APRS time zone.
2. Fixed bugs in the DTMF tones.
3. Other improvements and optimizations have been made.
   If you already have the above listed firmware versions, it is not necessary to update the FTM-
   500DR/DE again.
